| UNDERGROUND POWER LINES: Call 811 before digging! Whether you are planting new vegetation, installing a new fence or doing major excavation work, always call 811 before digging. This free service will make sure underground utility lines will be marked and can be avoided for everyone’s safety. |

| Always contact DigAlert before digging and for the most current requirements. |

Notify Southern California Edison (SCE) at least two working days before you dig, not including the date of notification, weekends and legal holidays. |

Dial 811 or place an online locate request at digalert.org. |
|

Pre-mark the boundaries of your proposed dig area. Before you contact 811, you must physically pre-mark areas with white paint, flags, stakes or whiskers. |

Preserve the marks as you work, and request a re-mark before they expire. Marks expire after 28 days. |

If you must respond to an emergency—such as a broken water main or other threat to life, health, property or essential public services—you can request an emergency locate that will be marked as soon as possible. |
